About Blue Wasatch Games

Hi, I'm Justin Martin and I'm the Founder of Blue Wasatch Games.

I started this business because I wanted to do something that mattered. Working in the finance industry for 6 years just wasn't scratching the itch of doing something positive and fulfilling. My friend and I launched a kickstarter for Clash of the Cards back in 2016 with no experience, but somehow that started it all.

I am so thankful for all of the support from family, friends, and customers for making this business possible. I grew up playing and loving many types of games - mostly Risk, Monopoly, Rook, Skip-bo, Phase 10 and a bunch of others. I believe that time interacting with family and friends around the game table should be treasured. Relationships are developed, friends are made, and ok, maybe sometimes a friendly rivalry as well. We strive to elevate the games that enable quality time together and I hope you'll find our games do that for your time spent with friends and family!

OUR MISSION

At Blue Wasatch Games, our mission is simple: we want to create games and experiences that deepen connections and encourage time spent together. We strive to provide the reason to gather, spark conversations, share laughter, and create treasured memories. It's more than just play for us; it's about bringing people closer, spending time together in a genuine way. That's the heart of our mission, one game at a time.

OUR BEGINNING

Blue Wasatch Games all started with a simple love for playing tabletop games, board games, card games and any other kind of game we could get ahold of. Back in 2016, I took a leap with my friend and launched "Clash of the Cards" on Kickstarter. Over 250 backers supported our dream and Blue Wasatch Games was born.

OUR DESIGN APPROACH

We design our games with 4 main pillers in mind:

1: Human Connection at the Core: Every game we craft prioritizes face-to-face interactions. We believe in the magic that unfolds around a table, where friends and family bond, stories are shared, and memories are created.

2: Balancing Tradition with Innovation: Rooted in the timeless appeal of classic games, our designs integrate modern twists to ensure every gameplay is fresh yet familiar. This blend helps bridge generational gaps, making our games appealing to both seasoned gamers and newbies.

3: Engagement and Accessibility: We want our games to be picked up and played by anyone. With this in mind, we strive for intuitive rules and engaging mechanics. Whether you're 8 or 80, our games are designed for easy understanding and immersive play.

4: Community Feedback Driven: We owe much of our growth to the community. Listening to feedback from players and supporters isn't just something we do; it's central to our design process. It ensures that every game we launch resonates with what the gaming community truly desires.
